Karen Fyten
For the last seven years, Karen has worked as an executive assistant, pursing her interests in corporate event planning and project management. She organized many sales team events, board meetings, appreciation events, holiday parties and company-wide meetings. Partnering her skills as an organizer, an ability to anticipate the needs of clients, an ever-growing network of professional contacts and a knack for details, she has successfully accomplished planning and implementing a number of different events. By 2005, she was planning and designing her own events, specializing in bachelorette and engagement parties and bridal showers.
Karen graduated from St. Lawrence University where she held leadership positions on various committees and realized her passion for planning events and productions.
Katie Sweet
Katie received her formal education at Emerson College in Boston, Ma, where she got here degree in Mass Media and Creative Writing. There, she discovered an interest in writing for television and video production. She loved all things creative and flashy. She was able to take projects from rough draft to completion, and really enjoyed the process, as much as the final product.
During her five year stay in the city, she also developed a love for the night life. She knew all the hot spots, and most importantly, the local hangouts.
She has worked in everything from fast food to fine dining. Working with all kinds of people in the industry has given her the multitasking skills and the customer service experience that she can apply to any kind of career.
Recently married and a new homeowner, her nightly happenings have slowed, but her love for parties hasn't. Aside from being the Director of Advertising for a successful real estate firm, she has been putting together detailed parties for the past three years, for friends, as well as corporate caterings. For 2008, she decided to start a business that allows her to bring her creative talents to the public.
Katie's personal experience, combined with ten years of hospitality experience and knack for those creative extras, makes it possible for her to plan and execute Epic Events.
